Action Is the Antidote

Dear Reader,

There are moments when staying silent feels safer—especially when you’re a solopreneur or a leader who needs to be cautious with your visibility.

When your name is your brand.
When your income depends on trust.
When speaking up feels like it could cost you clients, energy, or stability.

Not because you don’t care—but because you don’t always feel you have the resources or the power to influence real change.

Here’s the shift I’ve been holding onto lately: speaking up as a solopreneur isn’t about having the perfect words. It’s about acting with integrity, even in small ways.

Over the past year, one of the activists and solopreneurs who has truly inspired me is Melissa Dalton Bradford. One day, she picked up her phone from the floor of her bedroom and decided to speak up. She started teaching on Instagram how democracies fall, how authoritarianism takes root, and what we can actually do about it. In just one year, she grew her platform from fewer than 2,000 followers to over 340,000.

It is a true honor to welcome her as a guest on The Time Is Now Podcast.

This interview with Melissa will help you:

• Make sense of what’s happening in the world without drowning in misinformation.
• Identify small, intentional actions that move you out of paralysis and into motion.
• Use your voice responsibly as a solopreneur, even when speaking up feels risky.

One idea from our conversation has stayed with me all week:
Action is the antidote to despair.

I hope this episode brings you as much hope and inspiration as it did for me.

I can’t wait to hear your thoughts on this.

With care,
Amel

Dear Reader, A few days ago, something happened that made me think of you. I was invited to an event where we had to introduce ourselves in 30 to 45 seconds. By the end of my pitch, four women came up to ask about my services and book a call. And that’s when I thought, I need to share this with you, because this is something you can create too. If you had to describe what you do in 30 seconds, would your ideal clients immediately think: “That’s exactly me”? If not, it’s not that you’re not...

Hi Reader, Have you ever struggled to explain what you do in a way that feels clear and confident? Not because you lack experience. Not because you’re not good at what you do. But because your positioning still feels a little fuzzy. When your message isn’t clear, everything feels heavier than it should, and clients don’t buy… In this week’s podcast, you’ll hear a real-life example of how you can change that. Katie came to me with experience and passion as a personal trainer, but unclear...

Reader, I wonder if you would resonate with this, as I see this happen often. Brilliant, experienced solopreneurs who know they need a clearer niche… but keep hesitating choosing one. Maybe that’s you right now. Overthinking. Afraid of closing doors. Or frustrated because you tried before and it didn’t work. Here’s what I’ve learned, both from my own journey and from working with hundreds of solopreneurs: Not choosing feels safe. But it’s quietly leading you to burn out. When your niche isn’t...
